Hey, this is kind of just off the cuff because I realized I was hitting a milestone and there’s something I’ve been wanting to do. I don’t know if I’ll commit to it, but meet Jay, who you might recognize from my avatar.

To put it this way, Jay is one of two distinct versions of my doppelganger from parallel comics worlds. I don’t honestly have the creative spark to do sprite comics like I used to where that would be relevant here, but his life is pretty much a snapshot of mine at certain points, so he’s kind of an ideal mouthpiece. Jay is a Blue Psychic, with White Mage and Black Mage natural forms representing his inner darkness and purer light, while the other one (with the short sleeved shirt) has a total of 7 classes of varying degrees of proficiency controlled by orbs of other people’s power as he learned from them, the White Mage of which is backwards because he got it from Troy, leaving him with nothing but a revival spell so powerful it makes living things explode for another quite a few levels.

Ah! The guilty party! (Sort of.) Troy is Jay’s guardian half-angel. That comes with a few quirks.

He came back. Eventually. Anyway, this Jay has orbs, but they’re aesthetic. So I guess that just leaves Toshi, doesn’t it?

We’ll just say Toshi’s situation is similar to Feng’s in Guiding Lights: Tamer and leave it at that. So that’s it! You might recognize this trio from my header on Fedi (that gets even more complicated), but the two remainders, Todd and Marie, kind of aren’t anyone I’d be comfortable dragging in at this point due to their potentially taking exception. But Jay, Troy, and Toshi are all good and you might be seeing more of them as I transition certain things to a more conversational tone.

Part of this is just a desire to use more images to break up the text and liven things up. That Biker Mice from Mars merch review I just did just felt sort of good to get some images in, and after having used my baby girl in the transportation one, I just kind of feel like it woud be useful to transition back to adding that bit of flavor to my writing. I used to use images a bit more, but then Wikia changed how they handled images to require them to be uploaded to the wiki, and Photobucket changed their policies to remove their free benefits and scan everything for A.I. slop, so, like, screw them both, honestly, but my blog is mine to manage and these sprites as .PNGs are mostly in the realm of bytes, so they’re worth having around to reuse.
